As a suburban American dad who owns a large SUV and doesn’t know another suburban American dad that doesn’t own one, I can confirm this is false.
For years I’ve told “successful” peeps here and elsewhere that we weren’t actually winning just because portfolios looked great and we could afford the cars/houses/vacations we want. The obscene levels of wealth inequality present today have become so egregious that we are no longer able to “afford” these things, we…
Seats gained for the 10 most Democratic states per CPVI data would be 45.
The apportionment rules need to go, period. We’re up to something like 700,000 per member, which leaves a lot of red states underrepresented in Congress
Overwhelmingly democratic states and districts would gain FAR more seats in congress. That could change with population shifts of course, but on average with demographics shifting more progressive with old conservatives dying off, more accurate representation means a more progressive congress.
Enlarging the House (Wyoming rule) and moving to at-large/multi-member districts would help with polarization/posturing too.

In my area, there’s no way more than 60% trucks on the road are stock, and half of those are company vehicles. I’m sure it’s regional, but it’s a damn epidemic.
I mean, but then at around $45k with all the luxury options thrown in, why am I buying a Acura? There’s better driving sedans out there in that price range.
You gave the example of 1B in development costs, not me. Costs as they compare to total revenue is either a) irrelevant (which is the correct answer) or b) it’s relevant both ways—meaning if the percentage is insignificant when it’s spent on buybacks, then it’s insignificant when it’s spent on emissions compliance.…
I didn’t say companies were lazy. I said they were financially irresponsible.
Probably has some skid Marx if he legit thought nukes were on the way
