It’s a fantastic thing and makes the trek from Vegas to SoCal & back much less stressful for me than when I didn’t have it. A nice side effect is that the other cars around me are not up my ass like they would normally be.  What works for me doesn’t necessarily work for everyone but this feature keeps me attentive,

I never thought I needed ACC until I had it.

Are you kidding me? The design is literally perfect.

I want to blend in.  I don’t want to stand out on a crowded highway for the world to witness.  Sleeper cars are just fine.

“Setting aside the absurdity of a “safety” system that actually enables people to be less attentive behind the wheel”

I'm going to disagree with you. After hours on a mind numbing highway journey, ACC really reduces the stress of micromanaging your car. There is a difference between no longer paying any attention to the road and not requiring hyper vigilant micromanagement.

Very very fast acceleration, excellent handling, and with the AWD it’s very controllable. Some people prefer sleepers. Myself included.

Had a ‘17 S6, the blandness helps it fly under the radar. Police never give it a second look, and you don’t have to worry about the moron in a Kia Optima (because it always seems to be a Kia Optima) trying to race you.

Everybody produces an occasional lemon, and I suppose it’s possible that it was their dumb luck to give one to a high-profile car magazine...

I see your point, it is pretty annoying to make a monthly payment when your car is in the shop but if you don’t want to have to deal with it you could lease another more reliable brand. Plenty people buy or lease other FCA products but they know what that entails. Not implying that is acceptable but here we are.

Ah, the guy who heard about the 15 years ago headgasket issue is here.

To paraphrase Jeremy Clarkson - Alfas are built to be very the best car you’ve ever driven...briefly.

I completely agree with and believe people when they say it’s fun to drive. But only if I don’t have to pay for the time the car spends in the shop.

Given Subarus own reliability woes, I'm not sure what to make of that ;)

Giulia 2.0L original interval for the spark plugs was 30K as well. Extended now to 60k on the new 2019s.

So...... the computer can’t read a dipstick; but it’d totally be able to drive itself, in only 2 years.

Sure that’s not ideal and all but well just Lease it to play it safe. If you get a good one and love it go ahead and buy it. It’s a performance car not a Camry.

Anger and frustration, followed by an alcohol-fueled depressive episode probably isn’t what they’re going for, tho

This is still a thing? Usually a popular driver’s car will hit 40,000 in just over a year with those guys. Shows how long the thing has spent parked.

Maybe it’s just Alfa’s way of keeping the owner emotionally involved.
