The article that’s linked there says the argument that they are somehow leading to a perfectly bad thing is silly, and adds that it’s at least a bit more plausible that they lead to a perfectly good system of investing. I’m not sure why anyone would cite it as supporting worries about index funds.

I just yell at the sugar packet. If that doesn’t work, I just yell louder. If it still doesn’t open, eventually someone always comes along and opens it for me. And if they don’t I start to yell at them. Yell yell yell.
