i don’t like making predictions like ‘this will be the one that breaks the marvel streak’, mostly because i do like the mcu and still watch everything...but this really seems like the one that noone wants or gives a shit about.

Look, I can suspend my disbelief to an extent, but there’s no way the child of David Duchovny and Julia Louis-Dreyfus is going to come out looking like Jonah Hill.

If I was Adult Swim, I’d just bite the bullet and cancel the show. I know people like to point to “impressionists on TikTok,” but voice acting requires more than doing an impression of someone else. This highlights some of my issues with Beyonce, feminism is a part of her brand, but it’s still a brand. Maybe if she wrote her own damn songs it would be a touch different. 

I would argue he should’ve gotten nominations for Risky Business and Rain Man (he really held Rain Man together) and probably should’ve won for Magnolia. He may not disappear as completely as Daniel Day Lewis, but those are terrific performances.

I thought Molly’s first sketch, the filmed piece where she talks about killing Putin, was hilarious. This one was not. 

Is it just me, or are there a LOT of technical mistakes this year? Consistently obvious gaffes from what should be pros? What’s going on with the SNL tech crew? 

Man, I dunno about this. Plaza had the energy, and was totally game, but she doesn’t really have a sketch comedy background, and that came through. She was clearly reading off the cue cards all night, and her jitters got in the way of a high-energy, engaging performance. Just take the “Taboo” skit: she was struggling…
