I’m still flummoxed how Avatar 2 made that much money. I know plenty of people that saw it, but none that actually LIKED it.

“Hey, did you see that guy’s junk? Eh? Nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more!”

Think they’ll replace him? Corden was replaced by a reboot of a Comedy Central gameshow which is mostly attracting D-list guests.

I never see clips of his shared on social media. Our local radio station does a “best of late night” bit in the morning when I’m driving to work. It’s a mix of Fallon jokes, Seth Meyers, Colbert, Oliver or SNL when they’re on. Kimmel makes it in the mix maybe once every two weeks.

How big a part could this have possibly been? Are we really creating a tempest over what was probably a two-line cameo with the character appearing on a TV in the background of one scene? Or is James Gunn secretly remaking Superman III, and this guy was going to be the Richard Pryor character?

Wakanda Forever’s plot was nonsensical because they chose to keep many of the big action sequences they’d done pre-production for, but rewrite the film so other characters were participating, since they couldn’t use Black Panther.

I love both Ghosts, but the UK one has so many British-specific references (like the pantsless MP) that it was never going to be huge in the US.

Theoretically, South Park is coming back with some new episodes this year.

The #1 thing I want to know about this movie is how much they paid Adam Scott. It had to have been a LOT.

This doesn’t sound like Oscar bait or the type of film that makes the festival circuit. Honestly, sounds like straight-to-streaming / VOD.

Well, looks like Jennifer Aniston’s finally hit the tipping point on the plastic surgery. It was a great, 30-year run.

Sometimes it’s January, and you got a sitter, and your wife doesn’t want to watch the Beekeeper. I would say that was 95% of the audience the night I saw it.

What did he do?

She’s managed to get a lot of money out of streaming companies. I think she’s got an exclusive movie on nearly every one of them.

You can’t have the planet nearly crack in half from the birth of an immortal being in an interconnected universe, and have ZERO follow-up about that. They made the stakes too high. They should have introduced the multiverse with Eternals and said explicitly it was an alternate Earth.

Agreed. He was the best part of the movie, and he’s also the character the MCU seems to be trying to keep alive: there were several references in Ms. Marvel, for example.

I say this as a fan of Inside Amy Schumer and someone who liked her standup pre-COVID: is anybody watching this show? I’ve seen intermittent buzz from entertainment journalists about the new season, but don’t know anybody that has seen it or would call themselves a fan.

I actually ate at a Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar and Grill once. It was... ok.

So which of those are good? What do you recommend? Think I’m going to jump back in for the Dick Turpin show.

I like Miley’s newer stuff, but man, her voice is headed straight for Marianne Faithfull territory.
