Will Emile Hirsch finally play John Belushi, as he’s been rumored to do for at least a decade?

I once did a phone interview with the lead singer of Buckcherry for a newspaper in the US, early in their career. Halfway through the interview, when I asked a question about his past experiences in our city, he paused, and then slurred out “wait, are we not on the radio? I thought this was the radio station in...

Mildly related: I was convinced somebody had peed in the vent in my bathroom, because everytime the air kicked on, I smelled pee. Went as far as accusing a couple of people of having done it to prank me. Then I replaced the toilet seat, and realized one of the bolts was rusted shut from people peeing on it over

Is Bill Hader OK? I like Barry and all, but I worry that making it has not been the most healthy thing.

Is this finally going to be what kickstarts Kate MacKinnon’s movie career?

Manta’s coming for Aquaman’s kid...

I imagine there will be some very interesting legal cases when people start generating AI movies starring them and some A-level star in a porn.

Cautiously optimistic about Mulaney’s new special, though I saw him live last year and his act was mostly his post-rehab monologue from SNL + his post-rehab anecdotes from his appearance on Seth Meyers + a lot of crowdwork, mixed with a few pretty unformed ideas.

The Washington Post says Tucker’s been doing his show remotely from Maine for some time. Which means he’s got a ready-made studio to do NewsMax or the Blaze or his own thing...

Is that Gwyneth’s current face, or an older pic?

Marvel can afford to wait here; he supposedly wasn’t supposed to film more Kang stuff until early ‘24, Loki S2 doesn’t come out until late summer, and I bet he’s not in Guardians of the Galaxy 3 or Marvels. See how bad things are by fall (my guess? They’re going to be pretty bad)

Ooh, good reminder that I bought a copy of Moonrise Kingdom at a Blockbuster going-out-of-business sale and then never got around to watching it.

Yes, but: generally, studios will pay to have celebs flown out from LA to do press in New York, stay in a hotel, etc. The shows themselves don’t have to pay that. Kimmel can call up a laundry list of people to do drop-ins, cameos, last-second bookings, etc. Why do you think Corden has had such great guests

It’s very weird to me that Kimmel will be the only LA-based talk show host from here on out. That should enable great bookings for him, while Fallon, Meyers, Colbert, and whoever hosts the Daily Show fight for New York celebs.

Box Office Mojo claims Shazam 2 has left theaters, and doesn’t have it in the top 30 for the weekend. But I saw it Sunday, and there were 10-15 other people in there, too, and other showings that day. So... what gives?

Man, we need Mills and Stipe solo albums. Peter’s stuff has been all over the map since the break-up, and Bill Berry’s new group the Bad Ends is surprisingly good.

Britney’s appearance on HIMYM was textbook PR damage control. I have to imagine her representation would have strongly encouraged her to do it whether or not she was in a conservatorship. Too bad there aren’t really hit sitcoms anymore, because she could use another appearance. Maybe Ghosts?

Surprised he never turned up on the Goldbergs, since his nephew and brother are both on there now.

Could have sworn these guys did a farewell tour like 7 years ago in part because Mick was losing his ability to play the songs.

Uh, pretty sure those Andor images are from the first season, unless they’re throwing him BACK in that prison in season 2.
