In a lot of ways, her career reminds me of Jennifer Hudson’s, in that there are long stretches where she has a mediocre part on one of those terrible live musicals on broadcast TV and a guest spot or two, and then that’s about it. Then she turns up and wins two reality shows 9 years apart.

Britney does have co-writing credit on a few songs over the years, but none of her huge hits, and none of the songs mentioned above. They needed Max Martin’s approval more than Britney’s.

But everyone here has done their career-best work and shouldn’t be penalized for Will Smith’s harmful actions!

Didn’t realize she was as old as she was (two years older than John, four years older than Mick, six years older than Stevie, and seven years older than Lindsey, FYI)

I’m trying to remember now, but wasn’t Maxim getting a little long in the tooth by 2006? I thought their real heyday was more like 2000-2001.

This movie is gonna flop. Smith and Fuqua know it. They’re in full damage control mode.

It’s making money hand over fist, but I haven’t met any one who’s really begging for a third Black Panther. Still, you’ve got to assume they’ll make one, right?  I’m surprised there haven’t been discussions yet.

They should have put Disenchanted in theaters, and Strange World straight to Disney+. We spent Thanksgiving night watching Disenchanted, and it wasn’t great, but the kids liked it. I doubt it would have flopped this hard.

I believe that’s called “pulling a Good Dinosaur.”

Tumblr’s still going, huh?

This is another one where Butler’s statement and Sabine’s statement don’t contradict each other. This is a mutual interaction between consenting adults that one party came to regret.

New director, new screenwriter. This will be (at least) the third script, and it doesn’t sound like it’s been written yet. But sure, they can have this in theaters in less than two years.

See, I was thinking President Business from the Lego Movie.

“We did some damage in the 80s.”

I think it’s because you can’t easily “flip” to Disney+. You have to let it load, work your way through the menu screen, etc. When it was on ABC, you could watch a little, skip the performers you didn’t care about and watch a little HGTV (this should tell you about the demographics of the people I’m talking about), go

Avengers 5: this time the Avengers are Agatha, Ayo, Red Guardian, Black Knight, Swordsman, Clea, and Red Dagger! (and there would be some legit movie stars in that lineup, so it could work!)

Disney will never ever release this, but I’d be very interested to know how the live once-a-week model translated to Disney+. There are people in my household who were pretty regular DWTS viewers when it was on ABC who haven’t even suggested watching it on D+.

I feel like this is part of the reason why she never did much on SNL. She never seemed to hook up with a writer or writers who would help her turn her impressions into actual sketches. At one point, she did a Weekend Update piece that was basically “I’ve been looking for a place to do my Dolly Parton impression, and

But he worked on other shows, too. Why aren’t we calling him Veronica’s Closet writer Eric Weinberg?

Based on the massive glut of Shang-Chi, Eternals, Doctor Strange, and Thor toys I’ve seen at discount stores, I’m not sure the MCU is a big toy-seller anymore.
