I mean, Sudeikis has been in a couple of $100-million grossing comedies (Horrible Bosses, We’re the Millers), has multiple Emmys, etc. I think he’s as close to a superstar comedian as we’re going to get in 2022.

Black Panther got its massive box office total from huge numbers of repeat viewers. With Wakanda Forever hitting Disney+ at some point, how many people are going to be willing to see it again and again?

I hope it’s a good movie. But based on the stories from production, and what everyone seems to be saying about it now, I fear it’ll end up on one of those lists of “movies that shouldn’t have been made” years from now.

Broadway doesn’t pay very well. This probably paid great, and didn’t require a lot of time. Simple as that.

I think it’s more that WandaVision set up Dr. Strange 2, and that movie left Wanda pretty far away from any sort of redemption.

Vintage SNL this week was Jon Hamm and Coldplay from ‘08, and it might have been the best episode of this century. You’ve got the sex offender Halloween sketch, the best Vincent Price sketch, and Jon Hamm’s john ham, so three all-timers in the same show. Plus “Ras Trent,” probably a top 20 digital short, two A-holes…

I think pushing the David S Pumpkins sketch toward the end was intentional. By having Hanks show up, and then Moynihan, the average viewer becomes convinced David S. Pumpkins is coming and watches until the end, keeping the ratings for the entire show higher.

I have to assume Call Me Kat will be pretty swiftly cancelled. He was an integral part of that show, they all seemed to love him, and it’s way too silly to deal with a death episode.
