I assume you were totally and completely fine with, say, Augusta National Golf Club refusing to have female members for so many years. And that is a private organization that receives no federal funding.
This is where I am on this. I’m reminded again of a program my college had called Safe Ride. It was a program only for women. Essentially, a large van driven by a cop hung around campus and would drive women back to their dorm. It was a don’t ask, don’t tell service, which meant even underage drunk women would not be…
He is only giving everybody the equality they demanded. Do you want gender inclusion or segregation?
Yeah the problem is that if MSU created a “mens study” space and literally prevented women from stepping foot in it, you best believe it would be a Title IX violation. So how is this not a violation of that very specific law?
Equality sucks, don’t it?
Unfortunately, unless they are providing men with men-only spaces, then it’s discriminatory.
Ah well. Equality often means giving up privileges.
And white men sometimes don’t want to be around women or minorities and yet you don’t feel bad about demolishing their safe spaces. Welcome to equality!
Maybe if “feminists” had stopped being so pissy about “men only” things, they would be able to keep their “women only” things. Can’t have it both ways
I mean, it sucks because I understand the need for safe spaces, but can you really make a legal argument that in a public university, creating a space funded by the university, where men literally cannot go doesn’t violate this?
Remember folks it’s only diversity and fair if THEY like it and it benefits THEM.
This is one of the more pretentious articles I’ve read in some time, and written by someone who I certainly do not want to be at a party with. Have fun, exhibit self control, and don’t do anything dumb.
This seems to have less to do with alcohol that it does with being stuck at a party with people you don’t trust or like.
Shitty advice from an obvious lightweight. Four drinks, minimum.
OK DAD
What the fuck is this article?
No thanks.
So why should I stick to just two? You don’t really say why just that I should only have two while being socially awkward about it. If I need to drive or be somewhere early the next day then yes stick to one or two but if I have a ride/taxi/uber and everyone else is drinking and enjoying themselves why would I stick…
