They had already corrected the issue before it even became public knowledge. I think in 2012 a year after she left SoS they changed the regulations to fully close the grey area. That’s where half of the “she broke the law!” stuff came from because they’re using current law rather than what was law when she was in the

When Maddow came on after the forum, I had 3 thoughts (not necessarily in this order):

I would have paid to watch Joy Reid moderate it too!

Joy Reid needs to be on tv more, she is great.

Joy Reid would have been great, because she doesn’t let people get away with BS. Earlier this week, she was filling in on All In and she had a Trump spokesperson on talking about Trump’s contribution to the Florida AG’s campaign fund. The guy kept trying to circle back to talking points on the Clinton Foundation and

I would have given my eye teeth to see Keith Morrison grill Hillary about her whereabouts when an unnamed soccer mom was found beaten to death.

This was one of those very rare occasions where I think I appreciated the film more than the book. Brie Larson’s character in the film, my god you could taste her boredom and frustration, whereas because the book is written from the kid’s POV,I didn't get that sensation quite as strongly. Both excellent though!

Yeah, but I turned yesterday’s into a dubai/cat thread!

Not once, actually. What Coulter said was drowned out buy the audience’s reaction - even when the audience was completely silent. Given the applause other roasters got when they mentioned Ann, she knew it was a hostile crowd. A few of her jokes did get laughs, but her delivery was so terrible other lines that should

Remember, kids: Midterm elections exist and they matter. Get out and vote this year, and then do it again in 2018.

WHY IS THIS A THING? STOP POLITICKING PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCIES.

YESSSSSSSS... as the parent of a toddler who cannot get out much, and a die-hard Guest fan, the BEST part about this is that I don’t have to go to a movie theater to see it! GO NETFLIX!!

By the end of the series, I was literally just watching to make sure the cat made it out okay.

... And this is why I believe extreme political correctness is a slippery slope. I doubt this scene would have been able to get made today, or the one with the racist old lady in Blazing Saddles. Sometimes there is a place for tastelessness and offensiveness, when it’s in service of making fun of tropes like this.

I love Teri Garr’s version of the line too:

What does it say about me that I was way more invested in what happens to the (fictional) cat than I was with any of the human characters?

But I don't want to give up my cat!

Was legit weeping when that ASPCA ad came on Johns tv. When I saw the cat running free in his apartment, no longer confined to a room, and rescued once more from that shelter I started balling.

raise yo hand if you cried when you saw that little kitty muffin cross through the apartment. THAT was perfect.

If it was my husband, divorce would be the least of his worries. He would have to look over his shoulder every day until he was dead.
