Yes - it’s electronically controlled so that when there is any front wheel slippage (a frequent occurrence with 365hp driving the front wheels), the rear kicks in to keep the front tires from turning to toast.
After driving both, the Fusion feels flimsy and the Taurus is more like a tank.
