I would certainly believe it - I lived through that period so I have first-hand knowledge.

The sound is neither fake nor does it come through the speakers. the sound is amplified via the intake and plumbed right to the firewall. The audio speakers provide sound ONLY from the audio system.
No, I don’t. One has gull wing doors which are not intended for production, and the other has falcon-wing doors which are already in production.
Why wait two or three years?
Amen!
Not always. I for example, wouldn’t be caught dead in a SuperCrew; I much prefer regular cabs.
And just why do you consider those of us who prefer regular cabs as poor? I greatly prefer regular cabs, and I’m certainly NOT poor.
Not me. There are a great many other things in life with which to concern myself. The off-chance that I will be in a catastrophic wreck every time I get behind the wheel is terribly depressing. Frankly, it is disturbing as to the number of people who DO worry about it.
He was allowed to use the laws to the advantage of his companies - I really hate people who do that.
It’s actually pronounced “Celica”.
And the 86 (whatever that actually means) should be “Celica”.
It should have been the Celica from day one.
And the GTI is still a Golf, and the WRX is still an Impreza, and the Evo is still a Lancer. What was your point again?
Let’s see, on this list I have owned: a Fiesta ST, two Mazda Miatas, a Big Wheel, A kart, and two jet skis (stand-up). Can anyone else beat that?
Amen.
I found the ride in both STs to be a bit soft for me. As for cost, the Focus ST, equipped as I would want it, came in roughly $4k more than the FiST. As for being a better daily driver, that is a matter of personal preference. The FoST was just too large for me as well.
When I looked at both STs back in the summer, a comparably-equipped Fiesta and Focus were more like $4000 apart. To me, the performance difference was not worth $4K, and believe it or not the Focus was a bit large for me. I bought a Fiesta ST.
From another Fiesta ST owner...AMEN. Although I confess to exploiting it’s limits on public roads at illegal speeds.
I shut off the hill start assist on mine. As my dad said when I asked about starting on a hill when he was teaching me to drive my ‘68 Mustang back in 1976: “you gotta be quick”.
I’m still trying to figure out how the two STs are the same price as you say. I recently bought a FiST over the FoST due to size (I prefer smaller cars), and a nearly $4,000 difference when similarly equipped (as I would buy them). They both had the same incentives ($1,000 cash or 72 months @ 0%).
