I purchased the backpack I did only because of its flat back and cost. The Hot glue has already become soft once. I left it my car during this blistering summer, and some of the glue had become soft which means it was ~180ºF in my car. I would recommend using an epoxy that can handle the heat better.

I haven't had an corrosion issues, the glued areas seem to keep it away from the contacts.
