Elysium really wasn't that bad. Sharlto Xopley's performance alone made it worthwhile.

Right, it can't possibly be that he's passionate about still telling smaller stories and using his clout to give lesser known writers and directors a chance to make their movies.

Give Costner credit for using what remains of his star power, and his own money (he's usually a producer on his recent smaller movies) to get different sorts of films made. Who else is making these mid-sized movies about interesting concepts?

Totally unfair. The review basically posits that white filmmakers can have nothing to say about race. Lazy predictable take. This is a worthwhile movie.
