I asked the same a couple weeks ago. These are so good, it's painful to think about them coming to an end.

Beautiful.
But...OSX isn't like that. I'm a late stage OSX convert, and the thing I like the most about it is that it's just as flexible as Windows, but is designed specifically as a desktop OS and requires no maintenance or futzing. It's iOS that's "one way or GFY."
Actually, there's a very good Chrome plugin called VideoStream that plays local media extremely smoothly and with a slick interface. I use it daily :) And there are all kinds of local media solutions on Android.
Yes! That's hilarious. Usually it's true, but Matt Smith never sat right with me and I'm a huge Peter Capaldi fan from The Hour and The Thick of It, so I've been in love with this season from the first episode on. (It's already my favorite season of Nu Who to date—along with the visuals taking a big upgrade and…
Uh, I didn't say it, so thanks for the backstory! More knowledge is good knowledge.
Fair point. Actually, American Graffiti isn't bad, so it'd be dumb on my part to argue that he's *never* been a good director. I do think it's hard to argue that he's been a good director *since* Star Wars, though. (That said, he was apparently sort-of-script-supervising and mooting/approving stories on the Clone Wars…
Did you see Edge of Tomorrow? That movie's kind of mind blowingly devoted to practical effects. It's wonderful to watch the B-roll, because you can clearly see they're firing real rockets across the giant set during the beach landing scene.
JJ's track record for "firsts" is terrific. First Star Trek reboot movie, first season of Lost, Super 8, first couple seasons of Alias, etc. Those are all things that were generally liked or adored. George Lucas directed ANH (which was basically saved in the editing room), then nothing for 22 years, then the prequels…
So a little disappointing, but about five times as good as a George Lucas movie?
There's a colored man in my kitchen!
What color is he?
Green!
I do, though.
Once Upon a Time is a show about cosplayers, right?
I agree. And the show has a lot more depth on rewatch. It's not quite Arrested Development, but there's a meta angle that Rabin wasn't interested in and that we didn't know about at the time. Historical perspective is another thing—30 Rock changed the sitcom landscape in its first couple seasons.
Also, I would love Erik to go back through and review the entire show. These are so much more interesting than the in-the-moment Nathan Rabin reviews that it's ridiculous. These are the recaps I look forward to most right now.
One thing Black Tie demonstrates: how insanely capable Kay Cannon was right out of the gate. Her episodes are crazy tight (Black Tie, Christmas Special, Dealbreakers Talk Show, the best Avery episodes) and having her around as story editor and producer for most of the show's run was inestimably important to the show's…
The commentary for the episode made it pretty clear that Tina wasn't expecting to get that line through, and was a little shocked that she did. Makes you wonder how many really filthy lines we didn't get to hear.
Heavy is the head that eats the crayons.
