I work for Ulta. We have a sanitizing protocol for makeovers but we can’t watch everyone all the time. I would NEVER EVER EVER test something with a plunger on my face. A lipstick though, can be sanitized with isopropyl alcohol and wiped off. Surgical? No. Gonna give ya the herp? Also no.

You are supposed to wipe the lipstick 💄 with a tissue first, it takes the contaminated surface off. Then use the lip brush and wipe the lipstick with a tissue again. So many people will just take the tester and directly apply it to their lips. Disgusting.

DO NOT EVER PUT TESTER MAKEUP ON YOUR FACE!!! Jesus, we need a sign for this now???
