HID kits are fine IF the housings being used are designed for HIDs. I put HIDs in my Mazda 6 because they designed the projector housings for use with HIDs. My forester however is a big no-no.

General Altimax Arctics have a strong following. Very highly rated on Tire Rack. I think they are basically a previous Nokian Hakki model. I just put them on my Forester and love them so far, but we haven't had a shred of winter yet here in my part of WV.
