True but I think we are getting there. Just a few years ago the images above would have been unthinkable for a first person shooter. Besides its always good to push for more even when you think you have hit a limit.

I want to be more impressed by this but the images above and below are what to me is the new standard for environment graphics in my opinion. I know LOD to Frame Rate ratio matters but I want more.

I had a similar thing happen to me except I was a victim of organized crime. We used to draw racetracks with chalk on the sidewalk to race our cars, the racetrack was segmented and you would flick your car from space to space when it was your turn without going off the track. The winner got the losers car.
