Awesome, will make a good cheap solution for card catalogs, letting the libraries I support put more of their budget into other resources

Both have their place in a hacker/maker’s toolkit. I use both and it really does depend on the project. Need to control a few LED’s say for a custom badge, Aduino. Need a video looper for a demo, Pi.
