there is actually no lag, unless you try to stream the audio from a video, at least in the chrome browser it will get out of sync. but between individual chromecasts, the audio across devices is always in sync.

will they have electrical issues quicker too?

yeah, doesn’t work, the audio will lag the video everytime. absolutely no reason they can’t correct this, but hopefully a firmware update will fix, doubt it though....
