I do feel that Kim is thoughtful, but this does seem to be giving her too much credit. While reading I was just thinking I would like to see an in-depth interview with Kim about this topic. I feel like most of it would just her going, “I don’t know. [laughs] I just liked how I looked here.”

I gotta admit that reading the conversation between you two is reminding me of how my husband and I fight. Nobody thinks they’re being emotional but they think the other person is.

It is honestly as confusing watching that kind of interaction from the outside as it feels from the inside when I’m in the middle of it.

The predominantly black school was underfunded in terms of maintenance and upkeep. Crumbly infrastructure, and all that. So while it may have been scholastically superior under those circumstances, presumably its students might perform even better with the same resources as the school which was racially mixed.
