20 years in STL, originally from NY.

For the Miata person - I’d say keep the NB, and buy a cheapish normal car to DD. You can update the NB nicely for a lot less than a ND2 will cost you.

Yeah that’s why I’d want the ST. Still impressive to see what they make from a little 1.0

Even though I was going to get something else after selling my ‘15 FiST, I was really curious to try the new version with the 3 cyl.

I would be interested in trying one. I’m in STL - I wish they had a list of locations where it’s available.

The sad thing is that for what you pay for a sandwich and chips from Jimmy Johns, you can get a decent sandwich at a normal sandwich shops with better ingredients. But still there are times I go “Fuck it - Jimmy John’s it is” because of convenience.

Yeah the FiST’s torque down low, especially with a tune is really nice. It’s not really a high revving motor, but still a blast to drive.

I didn’t go right from the Fit to the FiST, though I did test drive a 2014 FiST while i had the Fit. I only kept the Fit about 8 months and replaced it with a ‘06 Miata Grand Touring.

I had a 2013 Base Fit - stick of course - and really liked the way it handled and hauled things. It was sadly hampered by the engine though - it had 117hp but it felt really gutless and very detached from the gas pedal. It’s not an issue with the total power - I’ve owned 110hp ‘92 Sentra and a 110hp ‘09 Accent hatch

I figured I’d check STL-PHX since my wife hates flying - $640 one way for one of the 2 bed rooms, and a 50 hr trip. Grayhound is only $250 cheaper - and only takes 34 hrs. Either way, I think I’d rather lose a limb than take the train or a bus for a trip that takes 3 1/2 hours by plane

I DD my ND, but I run Pirelli Snowcontrols in the winter. Never been an issue - I don’t want a heavier, slower Miata.

My 2nd car was a ‘81 Accord hatch- my 1st stick car, with the little 5Speed emblem on the back. I got it in ‘92 for $600 - it was maroon with the same interior color as this car.

That’s a horrible situation - you would think they would see all of these failures happening so soon after the recalls as a sign - especially when the cars showed no evidence of this prior to the recall. But instead they put the blame on the owner. Love the Toyobarus - hoping they get your sorted, and I would

I have a tune on my ‘17 ND1 - the “bigger” gains (but still way short of what you can do with a turbo obviously - my former car was a ‘15 FiST) are in the upper end of the rev range (rev limit also raised from 6750 to 7250) but it also sharpens up the throttle a bit. I paid $400 for my used OFT tuner - the off the

I did say “one of” ;)

My friend Eric used to have one of these in black with dark gray cloth interior. We spent many hours driving around in it because my friend Ryan and I both had 2 seaters (his was a 1st gen RX-7, mine was a ‘86 Fiero). Since both of our cars were underpowered, the V6 in his Cutlass felt like a rocket by comparison. IMO

All of these answers are wrong. Fiesta ST is the answer - easily had for under $15k!

I doubt I’m the only one that finds it unattractive.

Another fun car we won’t get - at least they made it ugly so we won’t lust for it too long :)

Best looking livery on the grid IMO
