Yeah back then I would top out whatever I had since there were spots we knew the cops never sat. Had a ‘91 Sentra E that would hit the limiter at an indicated 119mph, and my 1st V8 - an ‘89 Mustang LX (5.0/5 spd) I hit about 143 in, and would hit about 100mph on a daily basis commuting. The vette I took to 130mph once…

I’d say my taste in cars has changed from “V8s or nothing” to just having something fun to drive. I’d say that also relates to my driving style as well, going from only caring about hammering the gas out of turns and spinning tires to wanting to hit the turns perfect, accelerating out without wasting the tires.
