well a fundamental component of illness v not is functioning. That is the thing people without clinical understanding have no idea. It isn’t a checklist or personality test. It is “are you functioning?” “is this causing massive disruption to your life, relationship etc?”

I disagree sometimes and have been on here for *4 years* and am still in the greys (it’s hard to get out if you are an infrequent participant), but have never received majorly nasty responses or anything other than respectful discussion. still a rich, bohemian area in Sydney though. It’s an encouraging move in the right direction, but Newtown is one of those... amazingly cosmopolitan areas that is full of millionnaires who wear onesies whilst shopping.

It moves me to see how empathetic and inclusive they are too, on the whole. Nobody even really “comes out” anymore, they’re just like “sure, okay, what’s for lunch?”. I love it.

Also, have you met a teenager lately? Maybe it is just MY teenager but they’re actually kinda alright, that bunch. They give me hope for the world at how accepting and inclusive they are of gender & sexuality in general.
