And like, is addressing the world as though there is a lack of race really a great thing to do. Often a person's race matters a great deal, because it's tied to culture and ethnicity and how a person has experienced identity.

It was the media calling him a thug, not just randos on Twitter. Other people in media were pointing that out. They weren't amplifying some disenfranchised crazies who otherwise wouldn't have had a voice. They were saying what FoxNews (specifically) and other smaller news outlets did was racist.

I don't understand how the media pointing to this incident (the backlash to Sherman specifically) as an issue of race is wrong, though.
