Animal control kept bringing out these metal cat traps that were way too small for the rooster (that they were looking at when they dropped off the cat traps so they really should have known better). We actually caught a cat that peed all over itself and the trap and just freaked the rooster out worse.

I'm vegan, and even if I weren't, I couldn't kill an animal myself. Just wouldn't have the heart.

Rebecca admits in a comment that there's nothing in her source articles to say the service horse was actually removed by the city. (Not trying to one-up you or anything, I just read that comment after I posted to you!) :)

Aren't all of the animals at the other location/farm? I don't think the horse is actually in the city's custody. I know Rebecca said that the "other" animals have been moved, but in her second to last link, it just says that the animals have been moved and aren't allowed back at the family home.

It's possible the reality (taking animals for their own safety and because the people broke the law) isn't being reflected in the reporting. I doubt anyone at City Hall is laughing maniacally because they finally got that one service animal.

Usually, when animals are seized for an ordinance violation, all of the animals are seized. It's really sad that one of them happened to be a service animal, but if animal control was concerned about crowding/conditions, they have a responsibility to make sure ALL of them are safe and healthy.
