This is just damning the prequels with the faintest of praise. A plot outline is basically nothing. You could boil almost any movie down to something this simple and it would have the potential to be interesting.

I can't wait for a trailer to come out so I can get a good sense of what this movie will be like. For a remake that seems to exist to shake up the cast of the original they still ended up with three white scientists and one black layperson. Did they do this on purpose or did it not occur to them to change it? Did

My niece is too young for Ghostbusters, but I've also started looking at media differently since she was born. And maybe projects like this will lead to more original roles for women.

Are you sure? Could've sworn all the Ghostbusters were Janosz in that scene.

I don't care if this is bait I'm still taking it.

It also preserves the value of product placement by setting the precedent that a brand will only appear on-screen if it's paid for the privilege.

Snow speeder is my favourite, why can't we have a write-in candidate?

It's farther from a good story than just putting a bow on it. There's good ingredients but the movies basically tell the viewers to take them and cook their own damn dinner because it's going to bed.

They don't have to be worse that The Room, or even close to it, to be terrible though. This argument just seems like a weird deflection. Sure, there are worse movies than the Prequels, but that doesn't make them better. There's worse stuff than The Room on Youtube, but who cares? The Room is still terrible.

I tuned in to the Desolation of Smaug during the fight between Legolas and a bunch of giant spiders and it was awful. They were so obviously flailing around against nothing and they CG'ed some spiders on the end of their swords. I got bored before it the fight was over despite starting to watch in the middle of it. I

Calling Palpatine's plan an epic chess game is generous because from what we see he isn't playing against anyone.

"As we all know, movies without a clearly defined protagonist cannot and will not ever work."

Hey, I only left to give the scanning crew a hand.

"Peter: Remember that time you tried to drill a hole through your head?
Egon: That would have worked if you hadn't stopped me."

I admit that I don't engage in this kind of discussion often, so I'd be glad if that's the case and I'm just out of my depth. It's discussions like this where that kind of sub-text should become text though right? I'm not trying to call out the author or anything, I just wanted to discuss the use of

"…the less-conventionally-attractive women…"

I like Jedi less than Empire or Star Wars, but Sith plays a devious trick: the enormous portions of the movie that are terrible are so forgettable it's easier to remember it fondly as time goes by. The worst aspects of the first two prequels are central to the movie and present almost throughout: Jar-Jar, young

It began with the kaiju emerging and threatening humanity and ended with BIGGER kaiju emerging and threatening humanity. Thanks for wasting my time prologue.

Mr. Stay Puft (excluding the miniatures shots) and the Gozer-dogs are terrible. But the proton streams and trap effects still look great, and the ghost affects are the best I've seen in any movie. The way slimer phases through the hotel wall is so good.

It was in reply to a tweet asking specifically for the characters' names. No idea why that person gave a shit though.
