An interesting little detail is that Draper's departure shuttle is turned back on Avasarala's orders, and she hears of this. She knows that there's an open door for her.

Don't know what you're hearing (cue excited Beatlemania screeching) but it's pretty damn good.

Thanks for that! I might check it out, it does sound like it merits a look-see.

Yes, I had the same reaction, "Oh no, heroics!". But then, it's Amos- he's playing a whole other ballgame.

To your last point, the initial shootout wiped out the Starhelix security goons, so only the scientists were left- even though they were armed, they probably weren't tactically savvy.

I think he was slowing down already. It's still quite a turn.

It's supposed to be about one fifth of the apparent size we see from the Earth, and it looked pretty close to that.

None come to mind immediately, but I'm pretty sure there have been quite a few sequences like that over the years, it felt quite familiar. It was really nice to have the guards do the "we can't shoot" bit, with what we've seen of Martians and weapons so far it was the only way Draper would have made it to the line,

Cyllene's surface gravity is about three orders of magnitude less than that of the Moon. So things would be falling very slowly indeed.

This is sort of reading outside the narrative, but the fact they chose to recap the falling out between Errinwright and Mao in the episode's prologue suggests that he's not.

Less in the Belt.Their months are longer.

Yes, except Errinwright knows what the Man With No Suit was, knows who made him, and knows that this was not an Earth project. If it was Mao running wild, Mars would suspect Earth and would attempt to use the talks to learn more about their new weapon. So the Martians' rushed attempt to pull a blanket over the affair

Pretty nice subtle work with the lighting of the scene, as well.

Yes, apparently the whole area around Ascraeus Mons was settled by Canadian colonists.

Well, Mars does seem invested in covering up what really happened on Ganymede, down to giving Earth a convenient scapegoat, a cover story, and Draper's doctored suit. And it is an obvious explanation -especially to a Errinwright, who helped engineer the counterparts to this from his side when he was in bed with Mao-

Hey, if corporations running rough-shod over everyone else isn't the hallmark of socialism, I dunno what is.

That means we're only three episodes away from Season 3! Hooray!

I think Naomi isn't so much a holier-than-thou as an I've-been-here-before character. We haven't seen that much of her past with the OPA, but her aversion to guns and violence suggests someone who has made a decision to stay away from such actions, and had damn good reason to do so. In particular her line in this

Ah, that's more like it, show!
Back to form. There were a few bits that felt a little on the edge of perfunctory, like Errinwright's talk with the techs examining Draper's armour, and it is a little strange that Praxideke would so quickly forget to check up on his colleague's boy (since they've got the info-merchant at

Yes, I also loved how Avasarala gives her little speech on how Errinwright saw the error of his ways and immediately follows it up with that "I'm not joking!" shtick. They both know how cynical you have to be to be in the game they're in, but are so well tuned.
