I was so bothered by that episode that I skipped the following episode and missed the apology, but having just listened to it, it's still pretty weak. The whole episode was about dispelling stereotypes about black men, so the fact that they chose to end the episode by perpetuating stereotypes about black women, and

Yes. I forgot that part - the "keep it 100" for the fatherhood episode was really troubling. He says he's going to revisit it, so I'm going to withhold judgement until that episode airs.

My uncle used his knowledge of COBOL to fight the high oil prices from the embargo back in the '70s.

We each do what we can.

As a software tester, I write out test scenarios so we can determine all the ways to fight and defeat ISIS.

And don't forget his Keepit100 segment about bossy black women. I think he might be kind of a dick.

That ruined the episode for me and seriously lowered my opinion of him. And then his half-assed "sorry, it was just a joke" apology the next day pissed me off even more. Jokes like that only work if they're satirical or pointing out prejudice. They were seriously just laughing at black women. Wtf.

Never forget how he tried to float the idea of a unlimited unvoted mayoral term for himself after the election primaries were cancelled on 9/11. He tried to exploit that tragedy to extend his own power from that afternoon onward.

That too. Bottom line? They are shit.

When I'm preparing our monthly financial presentation for our CEO and VP, I am sure to put in our financial statements, budgets versus actuals, key performance indicators, and foreign policies and key strategic military tactics for dealing with ISIS.

Every time i get agitated today at work, I'm gonna return here and look at his gif. Also, I wish I could do this dance every time I owned someone.

I've been a bit off of Larry Wilmore since he made a joke about whether Bruce Jenner currently had a penis. It's like, yeah, I get that Jenner is putting himself in the limelight with his "am I or am I not" BS, but this just plays into the age-old trope of speculating and discussing trans folks' genitals, and I guess

For serious. Us New Yorkers who were here when it happened don't particularly love chatting about the terrifying day and aftermath. like, thanks for reminding us all the time dude???

A bunch of people at gawker seems to think this isn't racist because white people have locs too and it's just a 'dirty hippie' thing. >:/

Obama sure has done a lot of good things for the country he supposedly hates.

Giuliani said "the president didn't grow up like we did."

even if this hadn't been racist as shit it would still be The Dumbest because her locs are fucking gorgeous

You don't own anything but the unique willingness to crassly exploit it."

You're not the Mayor of 9/11, you don't own 9/11. You don't own anything but the unique willingness to crassly exploit it.

Both segments were great, but my favorite is the first segment on Daily Show, where Sean Hannity is shown asking a NYC real estate developer how he would handle fighting the terrorist group ISIS.

And this is why John Stewart is king. He has an amazing ability to deconstruct exactly what is fucked about said person/issue and while delivering it in such an approachable, funny way.
