Came here to say the same thing - spotted the NZ plate instantly and just knew it was going to be mistaken for Australia.

Woof.

To be fair it has been ‘dressed down’ to look like the base-model-poverty-pack Commodore Executive. These were even available with the 2.0L 4cyl in overseas markets (New Zealand).

Honda Crossroad. Honda also rebadged the Isuzu MU as the Honda Jazz (before the later Honda Fit/Jazz came out)

I prefer the AMG Galant myself

I have to ask - what’s the non-British equivalent of gudgeon pin and circlip?

Mitsubishi had part time transverse 4WD in the Cordia, Tredia and Chariot (Colt Vista/Space Wagon/Nimbus) from 1983 too. It did lack a center diff however.

They can’t bring over the Triton because of chicken tax. Plus the main engine choice is the 2.4 turbo diesel which would probably not pass US emissions and is not popular in the US. Same reason the VW Amarok, Nissan Navara etc are not there.

I really want this - however I’m curious to know how quickly everything reconnects once you get back into the car. Does it just auto-pair once powered back on with the ignition?

Neither is your face.

Only that RAM does not exist in Christchurch New Zealand (where Cockram Nissan is) - hell Chrysler is barely a thing there either.

The 626 wheels are not the same as the Cosmo/929 wheels. There were wheels fitted to the NZDM 5G Galant/Sigma that I loved also:

Another snap when I first spotted it pulling into traffic and fumbled quickly to get my camera. Can anyone guess what car I am in?

I saw a Trabant in the small south island town of Balclutha in New Zealand in 2010. Apologies for the crap pic I snapped it while I was driving. Considering that New Zealand is technically a small remote group of islands and that New Zealand couldn’t possibly be any further away from East Germany - is this now the

Years ago I had a Japanese import 1993 E54A Galant VX-R which had a 200hp naturally aspirated 2.0L V6 engine with proper MIVEC (just like Honda’s VTEC).

I think your mistake was buying the base 3000GT with the SOHC motor.

It’s not and never has been advertised as an EcoBoost. The base model Falcon does however come with the EcoBoost 4cyl.

Because it’s only Europeans and Canadians who spell Favourite the correct British English (ya know.. where the language originated from) way. *rolls eyes at dumb American*

It’s because the platform was never made for LHD production right from the very beginning, unlike the Commodore/SS which had LHD and RHD markets in mind when it was initially developed.

That guy in the top photo. Woof.
