Not only does he neglect the offending dealer, but he puts a photo of what I assume is some other random dealership, with its name on the plates. That seems fair to Green Imports or whatever the place is...

My brain hurts at the thought of giving the car to the dealer for nothing. How/why/when would that ever be a better idea than selling it privately, scrapping it, donating it to charity, giving it to a friend or family member, or filling it with honey and letting bears break in and tear it apart? Like giving it to the…
While I do not think it is an ugly car, I think part of the fondness for it comes from the fact that our current automotive market is so disgustingly overstyled that everything from the mid 2000s looks good by comparison. The mid 2000s had many pretty good looking sedans, actually. Not many of them were outright…
Yes, but let us not forget that the London bridge is now located in Arizona, where it is probably still falling down.
I can see how it happens, though. You buy a car as a “beater”, only to find out that despite the fact it is a heaping pile of shit, it has some really endearing qualities. Couple that with the fact that you end up driving the majority of the time, and the next thing you know you love the thing more than your “good”…
There is a 2014 Cadillac ELR for sale. Within the last year or so, there were many 2013-2014s for sale. They may have finally cleared most of them out.
I’m more impressed when I see a 20+ year old honda or toyota that has been very well taken care of than any newish luxury or exotic.
More importantly, why does it not have headlights?
Comparing the displacement of a rotary engine to a piston engine is basically useless. A typical piston engine of that size, from that era, would be lucky to make like 50hp. This engine is impressive.
Yeah, but really a cheap used car these days still have insanely good safety ratings anyway, and are infinitely safer than the cars we survived driving when we were fresh. A mid-late 2000s Camry or Accord can be bought for a few thousand, and are plenty safe.
I’d also like to point out that having your hands on the wheel and concentrating on what the system is doing, trying to be prepared to take over at all times sounds more mentally fatiguing and difficult than just driving it yourself.
I don’t think a Bowler Wildcat could even survive those streets.
Even in places where it snows they don’t really matter. I have driven for 12 years with sedans and only got stuck once, due to some “drifting”. Plus, many of these SUVs don’t really have that much more clearances, or even AWD. The only reason that they sell so well to us snowbelt dwellers is the PERCEPTION that they…
Can we all just take a deep breath and admit that nobody needs the ground clearance that they claim they do? Aside from the select few that ACTUALLY take their off-roading rigs off of the road, hardly anybody needs more clearance than a car gives you. Sure, Chicago and Minnesota get like 4 feet of snow sometimes, but…
Nah base model is better than Xdrive. Xdrive is for the same cheapskates, but they are afwaid of a wittle snow or something. The reason the 3 series is consistently nominated as a great driver’s car is because of the FR layout and it’s supposed great balance. AWD ruins that.
I got happier and happier with each word I read in your comment.
Yeah, but those look tacky
God, I can’t stand the phone to face speakerphone. JUST TALK TO IT LIKE A PHONE, THEN.
“I didn’t know what that was for”
Also, if autopilot fails, the real pilot has plenty of time to correct whatever happened. There are no dogs or children or other planes immediately in front of them. It isn’t like autopilot is actually landing the plane.
