This thought process is just encouraging more apathetic, lazy, and irresponsible people. The more we remove these people from their own daily lives, the more dependent they will become. That means they will start voting the way that dependent people vote, meaning more government intervention and regulation. Call me

Your couldn’t be any more spot on. People will make excuses saying it’s more streamlined, a more interactive user experience, more futuristic, etc. but what it is really is an attempt to reduce the number of parts that need to be manufactured. It is going to be extremely distracting for anyone actually driving,

This comment is exactly everything wrong with our society.

I love the justification that seems to be happening more and more frequently in the technology world.

I’m not so sure. Even the top end tablets (ipad, samsung, windows, etc) have a relatively high number of defective units. Add in the extreme temperature changes that a car experiences, and I bet we will see a fair amount of failing screens. I don’t think it will a huge percentage, though.

The tacked on screen thing is still appealing to the general buying public. People are still attracted to the novelty of having big screens attached wherever possible, and the manufacturers are taking advantage of this. I bet in another 5 or 10 years we will see the screens being integrated again, after all of the

Thanks for clarifying. I hear a lot of people claiming that their cars get good mileage because of the range, when in reality their MPGs aren’t very good and they just have a large tank. People often seem to think that a big range means better mileage. Maybe it is the same people who top off their fuel filler neck,

I had a Legacy with a CVT for 3 years, and I’d mostly agree. It was a little weird feeling, as other have noted, since it doesn’t ever shift as you expect a car to, but it was exceptionally smooth...except when low speed braking. For some reason, mine always felt like someone was bumping into my back bumper whenever I

Giving a range without a tank size doesn’t really say much. It could have a HUGE gas tank and still get really bad mileage, yet have a far range.

2 wrongs do not make a right!

That sounds horrible. I see people driving their “stanced” cars around here and wonder how it is even possible with zero suspension.

Whereabouts in Ohio did you go? The greater Cleveland area seems to repair one winter’s damage right as the next one approaches. Our roads are always crap. There are several roads that I simply will not drive on.

Around here (Cleveland) they fill the pot holes just in time for the plows to come back through for the following season. It’s a fantastic system...

Ah, yes, this is so much less sad to watch adults drive daily!

I never understood why someone would like a wagon until I bought one as a short term beater. I’ve been converted

I don’t disagree!

You put into words exactly what I was too lazy to type. Thank you. Also, I sat in a GLE AMG of some sort, and the vizors were literally styrofoam without any sort of fabric over them. What kind of quality is that?

I’ve done that. That buids their rage even faster than anything else, since usually it’s some insecure meat-head raging in the first place.

Crossover SUVs are pickup trucks for middle aged women. Sedans are pickup trucks for lonely business men. The only answer is miata?

Format changes often make me worry, but this does sound like a genuinely good way of doing things for the reader base here. I am excited to see how it turns out.
