That’s a chicken or the egg problem. The higher cars become, they higher they will HAVE TO become to be taller than others, and so on. If EVERYONE is in an SUV, there is no height advantage. I can maybe see ingres and egress as an advantage, but not one offset by looks, high center of gravity, poorer aerodynamics,

I didn’t invent it, I just mentioned that they look similar, which they do.

I thought so, but it is so hard to tell sometimes. And I’m trying really hard not to have meaningless arguments with people online these days, so I figured I’d cover my back anyway lol.

Ok, so I obviously didn’t mean literally ALL women, but take a look around while you are driving. Most women drive CUVs. Even many of the ones that I know that don’t have CUVs are determined to get one soon.

I almost forgot. Most importantly, they look like that old time Chinese “art” where they bound ladies’ feet into tiny little lumps because tiny feet were desirable or something. If you do not know what I am talking about, try looking it up, but I must warn you that it is really disgusting and also you will never look

I agree

It is no more practical than the Sonic Hatchback, because it is a Sonic Hatchback. Visibility is the only marginal argument that you have, but it is defeated by the fact that when everyone gets a taller car, as the market is trending, then your average visibility is no different. I mean, honestly, what objects do

It would be nice if you people could include all of the “top deals” in the lists of deals near the bottom of the page, as I (and probably many others) find it to be much easier to read through all of them without pictures and descriptions of each deal. Just a thought

It would be nice if you people could include all of the “top deals” in the lists of deals near the bottom of the

But I still hate it and the entire SUV craze. These people have been convinced they need something that they don’t, and it is killing the market for cars that are much more practical for the typical person.

Oh no, anything but the Buick Encore......

These girls are exactly the people that this new Eclipse is targetting. These girls are now old enough to buy their own new cars, which will almost certainly be a CUV, since that is all women seem to buy these days.

Mitsubishi is hoping to leverage what little goodwill is leftover from the Eclipse sports car’s halcyon days of turbo boost and “Danger to Manifold.”

I’m not sure where I sit on this one. On one hand, it is his plane, his property, and there is no HOA to govern what he does. It is not a decaying piece of junk, and everything on it (and on his property) appears tidy. It isn’t much different than a boat, aside from the fact that it is probably a bit harder to get it

Someone in my neighborhood is building a plane in his garage and I can’t help but stare at it every time I walk by. These little aircrafts are just so damn cool looking.

If the general internet population put in 1/10 of the research into news articles as Jalopnik writers do, the world would be a lot better of a place. Then I would stop seeing Onion articles spread around as fact.

The tweel is always a couple years from mass market, it seems. It is just like flying cars and the like.

It’s not the same. Part of the reason that many of us like the true wagons is the long, sleek profile. Lowering a crossover gives you a slightly lower bulbous abomination

Those things are so bulbous and ugly that I didn’t notice they were basically taller G35/37 until a friend told me they were. What a way to ruin a good looking design. “Crossover all of the things!”

I enjoyed that comment. It’s funny, many Chrysler products in the US are bought for the same reason. For example, my dad’s company let them pick any American car under a certain price, so many of them got Chrysler products because they didn’t have to worry about paying maintenance

This trend isn’t limited to wagons. It happens to some sedans, too, namely Subarus and VWs. My friend, for example, has a 2013 STI with a snowboard rack on it. I asked him how many times has he had snowboards in it, and he responded “none”.
