I can totally understand them for serious offroading and trail driving, but I don’t understand how people justify driving them on the road. They are loud (in the wrong way), uncomfortable, difficult to drive, hard on gas, slow, and actually fairly expensive to maintain, contrary to popular belief. Not to mention they…
Haha actually we are at the point where I talk about cars specifically to bother her. Occasionally I can get her hooked into a conversation for a few minutes, but not often. I do have her swooning over the Volvo V90, though.
Right? And how many times we get angry at each other because either A) we don’t get the sarcasm or B) we misread or misinterpret someone’s comment. If I had a nickle...
I didn’t see prices for anything anywhere. Even after I completed it, the summary still didn’t show a price. A browser issue, maybe?
I was referring to the first part of his comment
She’s just burying it deep down inside and one day she will either disappear or her brain may explode. That, or she slowly begins to resent you, not realizing it until one day she is leaning over you as you sleep. She snaps to and realizes that stabbing your through the heart would be much harder to get away with than…
Nice username A+
Yes. DO NOT TALK ABOUT CARS. I think my fiance is about to leave me for this very reason.
Justin T. Westbrook- Undercover poon wrangler
Winter capable is such a fallacy. Wranglers have a short wheelbase and a high center of gravity. That, coupled with the hard off-road tires that are often equipped make for a surprisingly terrible winter driving experience.
I tend to agree with some sort of offspring between Tom and Torch. I had a reasonable quick (probably too fast for a first car) car in highschool, and I babied that thing like it was my child. I really did like it, but many times I’d find myself worrying too much about the car, and yelling at friends for scratching it…
This was my thought as well
They are Toyotas. The owners basically break off mirrors on the garage as they leave the dealership. That plus the self-made theft market probably means decent sales
$30 dollars for about 10 minutes worth of work isn’t exactly bad money
I would imagine that, much like Camry owners, Prius owners aren’t the best drivers. With that said, I am sure many of them tear their own mirrors off. So, between that market, and the market created by the theft, maybe there is a decent mirror market. Afterall, that isn’t a part that most people just leave broken or…
Honestly, I think a host of aftermarket wheels would look better than what is one there. I like the idea of keeping it MB, but then again, they put a Corvette engine in it. What is the point of keeping the wheels MB, expecially when they look like that? They make it look like an DUB diecast car knockoff.
I’m not going to sit and argue, mostly because it was my new years resolution not to argue with internet people who don’t matter to me, but I would like to pick on one point you mentioned. Signing up for a potentially dangerous job doesn’t excuse those dangers. Yes, police should be aware that they may (and will) be…
Well in his defense, I think he is assuming that we, as jalopnik readers, are into fixing things on our own, which saves a considerable amount of money usually. In some cases, the cost of ownership really won’t be that bad without the warranty, but USUALLY his advice is to buy some super complicated and expensive…
While it is true that some police certainly prioritize their own power over basic human dignity, I think it is a far cry from the majority of them that everyone paints it to be. You obviously don’t hear stories of cops who abide by the rools because it isn’t newsworthy. “Local police person respects civilians and…
