My Grand prix GTP (supercharged 3800) would get 30+ mpg doing 70mph. I never really tried, but I think if I would have cruised at 55-60, I could have got over 35mpg

MORE DECORATIVE LIGHTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a feeling that my ‘11 Subaru Legacy’s will sag in a few years. They didn’t wrap it up and around the edge of the head liner panel, it is just trimmed and glued. I bet it will start to peel and sag soon.
I bought a used Ferrari for the price of raising my first born, and haven’t looked back! Mostly because the police are after me for child support, though.
That isn’t a 100% fair example, as they still offer it on their non-shared platforms, and it has only been standard since the late 90s. Up until then, it was only an option on some (or maybe all) of their cars. Even still, I wouldn’t be surprised to see them go the way of the prius someday soon.
Ain’t no party like an idiot party!
I thought the same thing, initially. But I figure, if the differential nominal splits power between the two wheels, then it would be 600hp per half shaft, until one slips, in which case it would send an increasing amount of power to the opposite side, destroying the shaft. I guess what I am saying is that a single…
While I can’t be 100% sure, this really looks more like a parking area between two stores. Yes, there are stop signs in parking lots, as there are places to drive in parking lots. Note the cars parked on the right side of the frame, in front of the store...In the parking lot.
I AM NOT EVEN REMOTELY AN EXPERT but I would guess that 800 would be total, and not per side. If the differential ALWAYS split power equally, then you would be able to use 800 per side, but if more power goes to one side you would obliterate the shaft. Now, I am not sure what kind of diff the Mustang has, so who…
I agree with all of that, but he wasn’t doing it on the side of the road. He was being smart and doing it in a parking lot. However, as others have pointed out, you simply can’t always prepare for other idiots driving.
But that is not a road, it is a parking lot. That is exactly where you should stop.
Ours was a single turbo, unfortunately.
We got the 2.5GT Spec.B, but it was a single turbo. Wikipedia says that the Japanese market got a 2.0 single turbo, aside from a low production/high performance model that got a 2.5 twin-scroll, single turbo.
I always gave them a few firm knocks with my palm around the edge and they seemed to release pretty well. I think I had one day where I had real trouble getting the door open. This was on a 3rd gen wagon, but I suspect it wouldn’t be much different.
I didn’t quite understand why they stopped selling the hatch. It seemed to sell pretty well..I’d say I see about %60 sedans vs 40% hatches on the road from the years it was offered. Not to mention that I think the 2011-2016 model would have looked really good as a WRX, with more aggressive fascias. Subaru seems to be…
I don’t believe that any of the current models do.
The only Spec.B we got was in sedan form, and it was a 2.5GT, not an R. Subaru has never really cared much for a perfomance market in the US, in comparison to other regions. Hell, we even only got the 2.5GT wagon with a manual for 1 year, I believe. The 4th GT wagon with a manual was my first pick for a car this time…
Yeah, 18 year old in a big bro-truck totally would never drive like a dick or instigate any sort of road rage.
Usually cars like this make me sick, but for some reason I am extremely happy this exists. I think the wing is too much, but mostly because big wings are always wrong (racing aside). I would never, ever pay $3,500 for it, but I am sooooo glad that it exists. I didn’t read the forum for a power figure, but knowing how…
Here’s a related question that I just had: What happens to all of the auto supply companies that have inventories of TDI specific parts that will never sell them because the cars will no longer exist? Will there be some sort of buyback program for the parts? I’m not asking to make money, because I don’t think that…
