Back when I had first started college, I came across this Subaru 360 sitting behind a body shop in rural Connecticut. It was love at first sight. The car was in several shades of primer because they had used it for practice, or something, but it was complete. I knew about microcars, but this was the first one I had

Correct take.

I thought that, just a little while ago, we all agreed “dog tracking” was bad in a car, yet here you are glamourizing it. Make up your mind!

By punching them in the leg every time they slam on the brake trying to press the non existent clutch pedal.

That wasn’t a save. It was a crash with a very positive outcome....

We went to England in the summer of 2005 for our honeymoon, and ended up with this as our rental car:

The short version:

Ahhhhh. Yeah, not crashing is good!

The AZ-1 is barely slower than the Cappuccino, only due to gearing that is slightly longer... Both car have the same F6A-Turbo engine. The Beat is by far the slowest...

Both cars have the same F6A engine... The AZ-1 was developed and built entirely by Suzuki. The Mazda-Autozam badge is just a badge... they haven’t done anything. Thinking about it, I don’t think they’ve ever built a keicar of their own actually.

AZ-1 is thought of the “coolest” one of them because of the mid engined gullwing door layout. But a lot of people buy a beat/cappuccino because they’re cheap.

This cannot be underestimated. In the US, it is a written test and a ride around the block with an observer. In Germany, there is required driver’s training, provisional licenses and driver’s tests that test in real world conditions. And lastly, it is kinda pricey to get a license over there.  Then you have annual

Always enjoyed the Mustang SVO speedometer

I watched the “best takedown on speed limits also”. Another things I want to throw out here is - if I can find the report, I will post it - that it was a surprise that highway deaths in the USA were higher than in Germany.

In 2000, I bought an Audi S4 that had that limit noise. I dialed it up to 155mph since my car had a limiter at 130mph.

Thiiiiiiiiiis. Even when the speed limit is like 35-45, fucking stop doing this.

Left lane hogging kills more.

Yep, my son told me later that on the last lap he was getting kind of nauseous. I wasn’t going more than 8/10, but I was happy that each lap was faster than the previous one, and that I managed to get a time decently under 10 minutes, which, all things considered, wasn’t bad.

Respect.
