I am not a particularly wealthy man. Comfortable, sure. But I started saving for that trip about two years in advance. Compared to 40 days of a rental car, plus another rental at the ‘Ring, the shipping was almost a wash, though.

I’ve done a few in the 6000-7000 mile range by now, but the most impressive was for my 40th birthday. I decided to cross the number one item of my bucket list: the Nürburgring. In my own car.
When I was in Europe on American license plates, I searched high and low for “USA” ovals. I wanted just the plain white version, and I wanted it in magnetic, since I don’t like putting stickers on paint. I ended up having the oval custom printed.
I saw the picture, I saw the name Sir Vival, and I started wondering why you misspelled Jason Torchinsky “Elizabeth Werth.”
I was in the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart when I saw a woman posing her two kids for a picture in front of this 911 GT1:
They say that by next year, minifigures will outnumber humans. I’m doing my part.
I think I was a bit careless with my pronouns. I was at Adenau for a week, but despite a rather frightening spin at Schwedenkreuz, I didn’t crash or end up at the hospital. (That’s why I’m really glad.)
I’m really glad I learned this today, rather than three years ago, when I was there for a week.
On top of that, he also questioned the number of Chevrolets “in the middle of Berlin.”
I think I just kept clicking on older and older F40 stories at the bottom of articles.
At the top of the list, for me, was to drive the Nürburgring. I almost had a chance all the way back in 1999, but I couldn’t get everything lined up.

From what I’ve heard, the Cappuccino is the fastest, and the AZ-1 the slowest, but most people seem to prefer the AZ-1 over the Beat, and the Beat over the Cappuccino. (I agree with the majority in this case.)
Everywhere I’ve been in Europe, the default speed limit away from the cities is 130 km/h (81 MPH). Virginia would consider that reckless driving. Now, the extent to which drivers followed traffic laws varied from country to country, with Germany at the more orderly end of the spectrum, and Italy leaning more towards…
If I buy a speaker, I want it to be loud, not soft. And especially not supersoft, ultrasoft, or hypersoft.
...and my 17 year old son was in the passenger seat too, making it worse.
It also says they “corner flat”. All kinds of typos in that paragraph.
I kind of suspect the opposite. There’s a little bit of a fishtail as she re-enters the track after the first off. Given that it’s a front-wheel-drive, she may have been using the throttle to restore yaw stability to the car. Unfortunately, she was in a series of decreasing radius corners, and even if you’ve entered…
