Do they also bring up that he shouldn’t have been able to compete at all since he was not in formal sanctioned training program. Even in the 80s you couldn’t walk into a martial arts tournament with an elderly Asian man and just say you were a black belt.
There is such a thing, and the term was “made up” to give a name to what already existed. Also, all terms are made up, kind of? Here’s a primer: https://www.advocate.com/women/2017/12/11/what-toxic-masculinity
I just got home from the theater, and was thinking about this topic a little bit during the drive. Here’s where I fall on it: it doesn’t matter that most of these dead characters’ futures are assured, because as of right now, they are dead.
also on the (short) list of dislikes - Cap’s teeny tiny arm shield. What’s the point in THAT bullshit?
I loved her controlling those rolling wheels and just slamming them over guys- it was badass
Who cares if we all know that these characters are coming back? They’re not real, none of them are dead or alive. You’re already suspending your disbelief watching a movie where actors pretend to have super powers, what’s so hard about going that tiny extra step and not worry about sequels?
Someone had the nifty thought that it was his spider-sense!
I’ve seen this argument about resources a bunch now and I’m still shocked that nobody sees how unfeasible that is. “Resources” are life. Life eats other life and all life requires room and resources to exist. Every population requires another population that they eat to have the resources (more populations) to be able…
They did the same with Ragnarok. The trailer showed Thor in the final Bifrost fight with two eyes when by that point he had already lost his eye. Frankly, I love it. We live in an age where everyone dissects every bit of promotion until you know the plot before you see the film. I have no issue with filmmakers…
It’s the oddest thing. I don’t give the tiniest shit about these movies and I have never seen a film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but still I feel compelled to click on a Spoiler Space article.
Rigggght?
Like, nobody cares how many orcs had to die to get Frodo to mount doom.
If the only drama you can get out of a movie is knowing whether a character is permanently dead, then I feel bad for you.
Instead of concerning yourself with how YOU feel about it, think about how the CHARACTERS feel about it. Put yourself in their headspace and enjoy the story more.
You know, you are just viewing it from the wrong perspective if you saw it as tragic.
Shift around to where Thanos is the hero, and everything works out happy! He completes his quest, gets his jewelry and boom! Done.
It’s assigned in high school.
Funny you should quote Shakespeare. You know, the ending of Romeo and Juliet is spoiled at the very beginning of the play. So why do people still bother to read it?
The thing I find most disappointing about online reaction is, “The deaths didn’t pack a punch because I know they’re all coming back.”
It will all get reversed. We know that. I do think though, that 4 will kill off some of the original Avengers permanently. The repeated mentioning of not trading a life for a life has me convinced that to reverse this some of the original Avengers are going to have to do just that.
If you think too hard about any comic book movie, it’ll fall apart. This was a great comic book movie. It wasn’t trying to be Schindler’s List.
