This sounds half Tarkovsky’s Stalker and half Goode’s work in Stoker. Which means I’m very, very excited for it.

I, for one, would love to see more stories told in this universe and would welcome it if the show isn’t a retelling of the book. I like the book and movie and games a lot, but all for different reasons, and I think it could sustain becoming its own broad genre.
