It’s b/c the price, popularity, access and thereore numbers of aircraft have boomed. Used to be that pilots needed skill training and practice to get something in the air; now the bar is set so low any idiot can do it. When it was harder, there was a natural tendency for the operator to have more sense. Now, not so Read more

I like to think r/c aircraft hobbyists have all the douchebags who kept causing trouble with quad-copters to thank for this. Think about it...r/c aircraft hobbyists have been around for decades and a vast majority of them never caused trouble and didn’t end up in the headlines for doing something wrong with their r/c Read more

Article is wrong. It’s not registering aircraft, it’s registering the Pilot. You get a single unique number to afix to all your craft.

Mostly because people insisted in calling them ‘Drones’ instead of quadcopters. That and the fact that with the big boys, DJI-Phantom and 3DR-Solo, the quads grab a GPS signal and pretty much fly themselves. You just tell them where to go and they go there. Back when I started flying RC, you had to find someone to Read more

I want to like it. I really do. But I can't make myself see it as anything but a rebadged Fiat 500L.

These abrupt endings are getting more abrupt by the column. You seem to be in mid-flow when you just say "fuck it," throw in a closing line—no matter you're only apparently halfway through the story—and head off to play golf or something.

Can I recommend you have a look at the earlier history of the F16 for balance? It was slated for being too complex, had an accident rate that was unbelievable, would never survive in combat and and and and...and it's actually turned out to be a great jet. F35 is shaping up the same way.

Carter wasn't a very good President, but I was looking over a ranking of Presidents and I realized that Obama would probably make the top 10. I find it weird to say so, since on a day-to-day basis I have usually felt disappointed by the administration. The ACA is a milestone domestic policy accomplishment. Not only Read more

Ya sure these weren't leaked from a Pep Boys catalog? These badges and the goofy grille insert are super cheesedick. The Ram is the most distinctive full-size on the market with that hood/fender feature. Why slap the big letters on it? Dislike.
