@l337_7r4d3r: I calculated it and it would be cheaper to eat the ETF and switch to Virgin, even after paying for the Intercept and before selling my Incredible. I started my contract in July, so I have about 20 months left with an ETF of around $320 I think.

@Wes: Weird, I've noticed more companies offering discounts for Verizon. I'm on a family plan with my mom and sister under my dad's name because he gets a 21% discount for being a GM retiree.

Paying $55 a month for Verizon is really starting to kill me. Has anybody had success getting out of their contract as a result of the changed data rates?
I don't get what the big deal about it is. I had a can of the watermelon and it tastes pretty bad (think $5 vodka meets Jolly Ranchers, but not enough Jolly Ranchers).
