Even if you do submerge a combustion engine, it wouldn’t cost nearly that much to fix/replace.

LaGuardia has always been pretty terrible, but I hear it has improved recently. JFK has mostly been fine aside from Delta losing my luggage, but that happens pretty much wherever I fly Delta. LAX isn’t high on my list either, at least not in the American and Hawaiian terminals.
On the plus side, this version of the WoT’s departure from the source material is new and exciting in that you don’t really know what is going to happen. On the other hand, I don’t feel like most of the character’s motivations are clear. Their reasons for their actions seem pretty random at time which makes a lot of…
My problem with the MCU hasn’t been needing to understand what came before to get the entirety of what is happening currently — that goes with the territory. My problem has been just how repetitive and derivative it is in many cases. My favorite post-endgame projects have been Moon Knight and Loki due to their…
My biggest pet peeve is people who put their carts right next to the bagging area of the self-checkout station rather than the other side, blocking the aisle for other people to get to open stations and often making it impossible to put your cart in the correct place in the adjacent station. I suspect it is so they…
On one hand, I am looking forward to many drivers on the road transitioning to autonomous vehicles since they cannot be bothered to pay any attention to what they or anyone else is doing. On the other hand, I don’t see that we have made any significant progress on improving them in the past few years, so I wonder if…
I was on this road in mid-June 2008. Luckily, there isn’t much darkness that time of year. We loved our stay in Ullapool and the Highlands, and, well, Scotland in general. Not sure I’d want to drive the roads up there all the time though.
I know a lot of people who liked WandaVision, but I thought it was just bad from beginning to end. It was a real struggle to get through for me. I thought most of the acting was sub par, and the writing was terrible. The story was just ok. Whenever I ask people why they liked it, it always seems to come down to…
I’ve been losing interest again in F1, and this isn’t helping. Meanwhile the Indy race in Toronto yesterday was excellent. Watching Grosjean crash just doesn’t get old.
Whether or not there was some global cabal of anti-transit billionaires, self-driving cars never seemed realistic in the time-frames they promised. Actual humans seem to really struggle with driving themselves around, so why would we expect a poorly trained AI to be anywhere near as good on our confusing mess of a…
Surprise! BEVs are overpriced for what they are according to the market. Toyoda was right. Hybrids and PHEVs make much more sense now than BEVs for most people in the US. Maybe if most auto manufacturers had stuck with developing BEVs back in the 90s and 2000s while selling hybrids instead of limitless giant trucks…
I had actually been warming to some of GM’s products lately, but this will keep me from buying one for sure.
Only tens of thousands of years ago. I’m guessing these are not very massive stars which tend to burn through all their fuel quickly and then explode, but rather smaller stars which live much longer. The Sun’s total life expectancy is around 10 Billion years, and it isn’t the smallest stars can get. The smaller the…
I’ve had very few problems with HBOMax compared to other services, such as Peacock or even Hulu over the years. FWIW: I downloaded the Max app today, but it isn’t letting me login, so not a huge improvement so far.
Dexter for sure needs to be #1 and GoT deserves to be on the list. I have mixed feelings about the rest of these I actually watched. I was fine with how LOST and HIMYM ended. Seinfeld annoyed me on first airing, but it actually worked for me when I recently re-watched the whole series.
I slept through about half the race and it didn’t appear that anyone changed positions. The driver intros were laughable. If I want exciting racing, I watch Indycar. I watch (or sleep through) F1 for the the joy of watching Ferrari screw up their strategy in new and exciting ways.
Only 50K in 6 model years and a mention of rush hour traffic tells me they discovered the Achilles heel of the Subaru CVT. Still, that is a very high failure rate.
Maybe reconsider the ambiguity of the headline on this? I took “drops” to mean he ended his relationship with the coffee brand, not that he initiated it.
After last year’s race and the quality of the competition this year, I have no plans to watch the 2023 Miami GP. Maybe I’ll watch the highlights on YouTube. Maybe. I knew it was going to be a turd last year and it was, so at least it met expectations?
