1st Gear: Just goes to show it was virtue signaling all along.

The Subaru CVTs aren’t really fragile. Just follow a regular 30k service interval like they have in Japan, and they will last a very long time. Unfortunately, the US maintenance guide stupidly says to treat it as a sealed unit and never service it.
SC HP used to have at least one BMW 850 back in the day that was unmarked, but I never saw it. What did see was a unmarked Suzuki Sidekick 4-door in the mountains of VA around 1997 that had pulled someone over.
On the fence about whether to renew my F1TV subscription for the coming season. This doesn’t make it any easier to hand over the money. Neither does FOX deciding to actually promote Indycar which I actually prefer to watch much of the time.
Making cars is easy when you don’t have any competition to speak of. It is a lot harder when you have to compete, let alone when the leader of your company is an asshat (kindest word I could think of). No wonder Tesla is an AI company now.
My first car was a 1987.5 Suzuki Samurai with ~22k miles on it in 1990. I was 17, and my parents paid $2500 for it which seemed like a good deal, if not a good idea, at the time. The first car I bought myself was a 1998 Jeep Cherokee Classic I special ordered. The sticker was $28,800 and I paid $23,500, so I felt like…
My boss just replaced his 2002 Accord with 240k miles with a Mustang Mach-E, and he loves it. Now that they have the bugs worked out, it is one of the most reliable EVs on the road.
“Prior to that flight, NASA assembled a test rocket that brought together all the stages of the Saturn V rocket for testing at its Kennedy Space Center in early 1996.”
Maybe it would sell better if they changed the name. Who wants to tell people they drive a bees-forks?
Ironically, I would routinely get 18MPG in my 1998 Cherokee in city driving and 21MPG on the highway. The 4.0L was bulletproof too. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for the AC, Instrument Cluster, Window Regulators, etc. which were all getting “repaired” regularly by the time it hit 60k miles.
Max sounds a lot like other highly successful drivers. You don’t have to be a bully to get ahead, but it seems like a tried and true method.
I think the whole world should switch to UTC. Then local businesses, schools, etc. can decide when to open and close based on the specifics of the local environment. We only have time zones because of railroads, and it isn’t like they are ruling our lives these days.
So, they’re going to outlaw breathing in FL?
Want. Can’t afford, even when used.
I was going to say Tesla too, but then I decided Elon getting involved would just make me stop watching F1 which is the last sport I still watch. I am going to suggest Mazda. They have an existing motorsports program, have won at Le Mans, and their fairy god-thing Toyota could help fund the team as a stealth entry…
I can’t believe a car manufacturer is actually listening to what customers prefer.
Exactly my first thought. Don’t do drugs or you’ll end up like this guy who brain-farted this truck and is going to become a trillionaire is few years.
Future Me says the Cybertruck.
I got pulled over all the time in my 1987 Suzuki Samurai. I never got a ticket though. It was hard to speed with only 63HP and a roughly 0.50 CoD. I think they just targeted me because of my long hair and age at the time (18), and that I tended to travel at night a lot.
I always wanted to do a cross-country trip in my NB Miata. I wish I had when I could have. My back is no longer up for that kind of punishment.
