I’d be interested in seeing how that happens, given our income tax system is progressive, and the highest marginal tax rate is on the last dollar earned.  The cars I could understand, except they could just sell the cars to pay the taxes and still be ahead.  Aside from some bizarre tax situations involving AMT, I just

This logic never made any sense to me. “I don’t want to make so much money that I have to pay taxes on it.”  What!?  I’d much rather make more money and have to pay taxes on it, because I’D HAVE MORE MONEY!

They need to bring back the Forester XT.  That is really the only thing missing from this car.  EyeSight is a blessing and a curse.  I wish they could teach it how to recognize when you are merging in congested traffic conditions.  The adaptive cruise and AEB are excellent otherwise.  Subaru has been having some

True. There are three main ways to get into RDU, and the nearby gas is only obvious in one of the cases. With the other two, you have to know where to go (south or east) to get gas.

It is the new body style in Lagoon Blue (one of the four available colors), so I’m pretty sure. It has Maryland plates, so I assume it was purchased in the DC market — probably a student given I work at a university. There are charging stations on every level, so I see it plugged in pretty regularly, depending on when

There is a PHEV Crosstrek that parks in my parking garage.  Otherwise, I am disappointed in Subaru for siding against CARB, and I am concerned with the long-term reliability of my 2018 Legacy which seems like a pretty good car so far.  My wife’s 2011 Forester XT has been bullet-proof.  The actual torque split depends

Raleigh is fine. Gas is available less than a mile away, but Kona is annoying. Gas is available not too far away but very expensive, and somehow I always get a car with a full tank, so I might as well get the prepaid fuel option as it tends to be a lot cheaper than the nearby stations.

The cancellation of The Tick was criminal.  I can’t believe they let Trump get away with this too!

Or just send Wrinkles the Clown to your enemies’ kids’ birthday parties.

Sacramento and San Jose never would be on that list just a decade ago.  It turns out you can fix such things as bad airports.

You really didn’t expect that?  Have you been on the Internet lately?  ;)

The Netflix F1 show needs to have a whole episode on Haas/Rich Energy...at least.

And really, where are you going to go if you dump AT&T?  Comcast? Spectrum? Verizon?  It isn’t like those guys are angels.

My (non-cellular) Apple Watch 2 tracks my movements just fine without my phone nearby. I typically go for hikes without lugging my 6s Plus along, and the watch tracks my movements just fine. I cannot believe they removed the functionality from the 3rd generation model.

Also, North Carolina and New York. Meanwhile I saw the huge overflow lot for the local Lexus dealer this morning was getting even more inventory.

4th Gear: I paid many thousands less for a 2018 Subaru Legacy Limited sedan than a similarly optioned Outback, Forester, or Crosstrek. Aside from having ~3 inches less of ground clearance and worse approach and departure angles, it is effectively the same setup and drivetrain. I may not look as cool, but I am a

My 2018 Legacy Limited with the 2.5L and CVT gets ~28MPG in mixed driving. It weighs ~3600 lbs.  Given it is not a GDI engine, that isn’t too bad I guess.

With the 4EAT or a manual?  How much less did it weigh than the new one?

1st Gear:

I’m ready for season 2.  Please tell me there will be a season 2.
