100% agree with you on starting with luxury (or at least luxury pricing), but at some point it’s in the marketing. As you said, those pointing a finger at the “rich” driving Tesla’s are often the same as those in a $50k+ full size truck. The Big Three know full well that luxury marketing doesn’t work for those buyers.

An excellent point.

I wish this wasn’t such a great money making idea.  Well done.

Jesus, I could watch this all day.

sweet gherkins/pickles?

They’re the best widely available/chain curds.  Any Northwoods tavern is going bring it better, but Culver’s is everywhere in the IL/WI area.

What we got here is an advertorial.  Even the pull quotes are clearly marketing language.  First I’ve seen here and pretty unfortunate.

It might be a bit old school, but Berghoff Cafe (at ORD) has a great corned beef sandwich. There’s rarely a line and the bar is perfect for a bite and pre-flight beer.

Curious about pricing outside of Chicago.  The previous two “celeb collabs” were highly discounted.  If I remember, like under $7 out the door.  This one is nearly $11.  Anyone else seeing the same thing in their area?

I give mine a little crack on the large side with a teaspoon after they’ve been in the hot water for about 30 seconds. Seems to get the same results once you dial in the amount of force necessary.  I ended up poaching quite a few before I found the sweet spot.

Shhh....prices are already rising.

Mix that oil in with some prepared hummus for a nice treat!

I have 4, 22oz Bob Chinn’s mai tai cups that I use in rotation. 1 for cold coffee in the AM, another for water in the afternoon. Then those go into the dishwasher and I use the other two tomorrow.

This is an amazing photo.

With his booster seat! Our pup would get car sick after just a few miles. Some questionable research indicated that if he could see our better he’d feel less uncomfortable. He’s now got 50+ hours under his belt and not a bit of a problem.  (and yes, we bring water...i know he looks thirsty)

Came to say this...I mean were they traveling?

My uncle was thrilled with the gift. It was only the person I purchased it from that suggested it might be seen as rude.

I was asked to track down some soju for my wife’s, uncle’s birthday a few years back. He was born in Korea but has been in the States since his early 20s.

In the early 80s my dad drove a greenish Olds 88. Every summer we’d head from Chicago to Saint Louis or Wisconsin Dells. Dad would jam a kid size mattress into the backseat removing any possibility to actually sit properly, let along wear a seat belt.
