Thanks for a polite response! I assume most people are on that side, but there's a significant number of people who are back-lashing further off this because it's easy and completely missing their double-standard on what's offensive (which, curiously, offends me more than an explicit Dahmer reference).

Also, where does everyone stand on South Park's comparison of watching the newest Indiana Jones movie to watching Indiana Jones get raped? That would certainly be in the same ballpark, but we don't bring that up every time South Park gets brought up (and that's certainly more offensive, because that depicts a rape

So, referencing infamous serial killers is not okay, but Cancer & AIDS jokes are still cool and ever-present, right? As someone who has lost a few family members to cancer, I find that kind of stupid that one reference is okay, but another is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE.

And the Edmund Fitzgerald sank in Lake Superior, so this is just an all-around messy Great Lakes situation
