Apocalypse as a villain needs a long build up. He needs to be the shadow in the background for a good long time. One movie was not enough. It made him the Villain of the Week instead of the season’s slow burn build-up baddie.

Ditto. The trailers were terrible, but the film? Not bad at all. I liked Smith’s interpretation of the Genie. He was more “human”, more like a good friend. there was a ton of Will Smith in there. But the fun MiB/Fresh Prince Will Smith. Not the annoying kind.

In the Prestige, a film with Bale at his best and Jackman killing it, she nearly stole the film. She is so underrated and underused.
Rebecca Hall could have totally pulled off being a supervillain. She was criminally underused in IM3.
