It was paid off in full but then she took out another loan to get the Golden Company.

^this, plus most of them WERE there out of loyalty to the Starks. Seriously, did no one but me count the number of Stark loyalists aligned around that gathering?

The short answer is it is two different loans from the Iron Bank—one was the one Cersei inherited from Robert/Joffrey, etc... and paid off—in one payment—from the Highgarden battle?/raid? (whatever you want to call what Jaime did to end up chatting with Olenna before she died). That established Cersei as a good

My exact thought. It didn’t come out of nowhere, there were also plenty of Dothraki horses that had entered the city. I didn’t really think there needed to be any symbolism attached.

Crystal Head....its pretty decent stuff both in shot and mixed drink (if you are doing boat drinks....not suggested for things like dirty martinis). Its got a good kick and a slightly sweet aftertaste

and you get a skull for a bottle. Fun fact:

In 2014, forensic artist Nigel Cockerton used clay to make a muscle, skin

Now playing

OMFG are you guys forgetting that Edmure TUlly was freed in season 6 episode 8 by Jaime Lannister and traded to the Tully castle in exchange for their fealty to the lannisters?

To be fair though, it is DAMN GOOD vodka. He keeps them making skull shaped vodka, i will keep listening to him throw out insane ideas for Ghostbuster followups.

I can’t help but think the Wights will end up being more than a biological Skynet and the Three-eyed Raven will end up being more than the memory of mankind.

Side note: I have been posting on io9 for 10 damn years and still in the grays. You guys have GOT to be better about this.

This is really stupid. She was stabbed to death, there was a shit ton of blood, and Jon was the only one in the throne room with her.

I have reasonable faith that GRRM, a far better writer than D&D, has the skills to wrap up a lot of these threads.

^ This.

I absolutely 100% have no doubts that Jon Snow told them what he’d done.

What about all the letters Varys sent out telling all the lords of the realm Jon’s true parentage?

Arya rode into KL on a black horse, on a mission to kill. She decided not to pursue her mission anymore and rode out on a white horse. It’s symbolism with a sledgehammer, doesn’t really need an explanation.

That was Strickland’s white horse, knocked out but not killed when the gates were breached by Drogon. Arya rode the horse for a bit, but perhaps it was still in bad shape (with not-immediately apparent internal injuries like a concussion, fractures, etc.), so she took it to the nearest stables.

It’s gotta be at least the past 10 years, but +1 star because truth.

I’m just kind of tired of not being able to actually discuss the books on articles about the books because 95% of the comments are about how he’s never going to finish the books. Can’t you just star one of the 100 other people who said the same thing, so that it’s easier for those of us who would actually like to

Your comment is just as common as the complaints now. People invested themselves in the book series, they are allowed to be discouraged too. You are correct, he doesn’t owe us anything, that doesn’t mean fans of the book aren’t allowed to vocalize (commentize?) their discontent. GRRM was adament the show wouldn’t

And he gets news organizations to mention his vodka by saying stuff like he did here.
