I borderline find it offensive - like think of something more creative to talk to me about.

Fortunately Johnson (and Stein) voters didn’t tip the election. At all.
The former, successful DNC chair Howard Dean (who figured this out back in 2004) would be a good start.
The LA Times Poll (the one which everyone said again and again was nonsense) ended up being pretty damn close.
This.
Hahaha. No.
THANK YOU! I tried posting this above, but glad you beat me to it. It’s completely baffling that so many people thought she was some paragon of virtue and inspiration, instead of being utterly loathed by half the country.
That Debbie Wasserman Shultz was put in charge of the DNC tells you everything you need to know about how out of touch they were this cycle.
I’m continually amazed by how many people, organizations, etc are trying to explain away what is otherwise a very simple fact: Hillary Clinton was not liked by a large chunk of the country. So much so, that a crude, ignorant, arrogant asshole could become President with half the field staff, offices and organization…
Thank you for namechecking The Thick of It. That was my first thought upon seeing the photo.
It’s no use dude - people are too emotional to see the stone cold facts staring them in the face. Instead of owning up to the fact that Clinton was a flawed candidate for more than half of the country and/or ran a lackluster campaign, they want someone to BLAME!!!
3rd parties aren’t going away. This kind of rhetoric will only distance Democrats (or Republicans) further from independent voters looking for another choice.
Nope, most polls showed the second choice of Johnson voters as Clinton.
Except every time Trump’s poll numbers rose or fell, Johnson’s numbers were the inverse. Meaning - the less people who voted for Johnson, the more people voted for Trump.
If Texas couldn’t pull it off after 8 years of threats and succession initiatives during Obama, it ain’t ever gonna happen. Besides, nothing will be more satisfying than saying the words “President Gavin Newsome” in 2020.
Why the hell doesn’t her campaign just cut their entire ad plans and run THIS, un-edited in all 50 states until election day.
I’d be interested in this argument if there was hard data to back it up. It feels a little subjective/anecdotal.
This utter bullshit that voting 3rd party is somehow, magically, a vote for someone else has to end. NO ONE is entitled to your vote - so there’s no way it’s depriving someone else of it. Vote your principles. Vote for who you best identify with. Don’t vote for the “lesser or two evils” if there are more than 2…
I really like his disgust for those who seem incapable of having a “long/short position” on issues. We all need to think like economists.
