I want to see us get back to locally controlled stations that set their own unique playlists.

Also, as someone who was a HUGE country fan in the 80s and early 90s, I don’t see any point in continuing the idea of genres.

When Shooter Jennings, son of the Outlaw himself, can release an album dedicated to Gorgio Moroder, all bets are off.

Plus, CMT played that wretched Tim McGraw/Nelly collaboration so they have no right to get shirty about anything ever.

Its a helluva a lot more “country” than whatever the fuck Florida Georgia Line is. Somehow they get a free pass.

I love that the article itself wasn’t written in Tennessee. The whole thing is like a troll-bating joke.

This looks so much like that scene in Iron Man 1 when Tony is perfecting the suit flight technology. God I love living in the future.

He pulled his stuff from all but Tidal a few months ago.

He pulled from spotify a few months ago.

As much as I love Prince, this half-time show is entirely overrated. The sound was terrible, the song selection and flow was off and overall Prince and his band have sounded way, WAY better (the 2004 Rock N Roll Hall of Fame, for example).

Whoah. Hang on. Responsible conservatism? No no no, friend, you need to be accusing everyone who wants to have a rational discussion of being a socialist and screaming at the top of your lungs without providing one solution for anything.

You must not have gone to the meetings lately. This is all in the brochure.

While that is a great fantasy, what you’re not accounting for is the void his candidacy would leave and the now-mobilized, militant ignorant who will find some new figurehead to support and gain more power.

I’ve seen people with top of the line snow tires still drive like total, oblivious assholes and crash into others or go off the road themselves. It’s not a magic bullet.

You’d be hard pressed to find 10 people these days who would consider consumers taking the market into their own hands (for lack of modern-day, viable options) as something illegal. Especially when it often leads to that same illegal thing eventually being legitimized.

Take heart in knowing HBO said they’d never do that either.

What did fans do in the 80s, when we didn’t have LEDs and badass, real-as-hell looking lightsabers?
